Seed and Plant Exchange at Canton Public Library

June 07, 2023

How is your garden growing? Whether your passion is fruits, vegetables, houseplants or other plants, come to Canton Public Library on Wednesday, June 14 at 6:00 for a presentation by Master Gardener Sharon Upchurch. Sharon will share her knowledge and passion about the art and science of growing a beautiful or delicious garden (or both!). She will also be providing some gardening books for a gardening book giveaway

Participants are welcome to bring seeds saved from special plants, seedlings from varieties you love, or cuttings from plants you wish to share. Some of the varieties that may be available that evening include Autumn Joy sedum, Siberian iris, chocolate mint, and lemon balm. Surprise lilies and dwarf iris may also be available, as well as geranium and coleus cuttings. Please bring some of your favorite or surplus plants and seeds to share. It’s a great opportunity to try some new varieties.

The library is located at 403 Lewis Street in Canton. It is open Tuesday - Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays 10 AM to 2 PM. Visit the library’s website at www.cantonmopubliclibrary.org, find them on Facebook at Your Canton Public Library, or call 573-288-5279.
