MARY RALEIGH

Mary Adeline Raleigh, 89 of Monticello, Missouri died February 7, 2022 at the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton.

The daughter of Albert Lee and Ethel Mae Flemming White was born on March 24, 1932 at Canton, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Edwin Raleigh on August 19, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1993.

Mary worked at Motorola, Davis-Cleaver, American Safety, Charles Industries, Lewis Co. Nursing Home, LaBelle Manor, CARE and Betterbuilt. She loved to crotchet, play solitaire and bingo, watch old western shows and her favorite sweet treat was chocolate covered cherries.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Georganne) Raleigh of Liberty, Tx., Joe (Tami) Raleigh of Walport, Or, James Ernie Raleigh of Ewing, Mo., Paul (Luria) Raleigh of Monticello, Mo., Richard (Sue) Raleigh of Brookfield, Mo., Charles Raleigh (Sheryl) of Lone Tree, Ia., Janet Johnson of LaBelle, Mo., Frank (Betty) Raleigh of Ewing, Mo., Debbie Johnson of LaBelle, Mo. and Edwin (Samantha) Raleigh of Golden Valley, Az.; 29 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Doug Raleigh and Albert Raleigh, four brothers, Albert Lee, Bill, Orville and Carroll White.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be in the Monticello Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Monticello Cemetery Association.
