CHRISTOPHER MAINES

Christopher Lee Maines, 42 of Canton, Missouri died November 5, 2020 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The son of David Maines and Jan (Barbeck) Sharpe was born on July 7, 1978 at Bridgeton, New Jersey.

He was united in marriage to Jalie Butler on September 29, 2007 at Milton, Illinois.

Chris loved to play guitar, listen to music and draw. He never met a stranger and he was an excellent father. His kids were his everything.

He is survived by his paternal grandfather, Walter Parsons of Bridgeton, N.J.; his mother, Jan (Craig) Sharpe of Bridgeton, N.J.; his father, Dave (Debi) Maines of Gibbstown, N.J.; his wife, Jalie Maines of DeKalb, Il.; children, Jude, Jerzie, Jolin and Jaida Maines; his significant other, Bonnie Stout of Canton, Mo.; sisters, Leighann of New Lebanon, OH., Kasey of Gibbstown, N.J. and Tara of Matthews, N.C.; aunt, Liz Greco of Bridgeton, N.J.; uncles, Neil Barbeck of Vineland, N.J., Joe Barbeck of Mellville, N.J. and Gary Barbeck of Bridgeton, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joey Maines and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Josephine Barberick and paternal grandmother, Renée Parsons.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
