Larry Lay Honored

Commander Dan Schmitz of the Lewis County Memorial Post 578 presented an American Legion 50 year continuous membership certificate to Larry Lay on May 9, 2025.  Shown in the picture are Aaron Lay, Linda Schmitz, representing the American Legion Auxiliary, Larry Lay, Dan Schmitz and Chrystal Lay Gentry.  Several family members gathered at Nee Nee’s Cafe in Ewing to help Larry celebrate this membership milestone.  Larry had served in the Army being stationed in Vietnam and Japan from 1966-1968.  He received a Purple Heart for his service.
