Several Highland track members participated the Missouri State Class 2 Championship Track meet on May 22 and 23 held at Jefferson City. The team had a send off from Highland High School on May 21. The team of Hannah Ritterbusch, Alayna Logsdon, Eva Logsdon and Chevie
Sharpe took home fourth place in the state girls 4x400 meter relay. The girls set a new Highland school record of 4:08.29. Chevie Sharpe won fourth place in the State track meet 800M race.
Chevie set a new Highland school record of 2:19.54. Chevie also won third place at the state meet in the 1600M race and set another new school record of 5:08.55. This was Chevie’s fourth year competing at the state track tournament. Bailie Crist’s javelin throw in the Missouri State
Track Meet set a new Highland School record of 38.26 meters. Bailie won fifth place at the state tournament. Christopher Gaus in his fourth time at the State Track Meet finished eleventh in the long jump with a jump of 6.22.
Ali Lundberg had a 1.55 meters in the state track high jump winning her sixth place.
