Summer Reading Program

The Canton Public Library kicks off its 2026 Summer Reading Program with a titanosaur-sized celebration at Central Park on Friday, May 29 from 11 AM to 4 PM.
All are welcome to enjoy educational and fun programming by Dino Encounters, participate in fossil digs, ride a dinosaur, and enjoy other fun activities all day. The Summer Reading Kick-Off is sponsored in part by HomeBank.
Attendees can also register for the library’s Summer Reading Program and enjoy fun activities and reading challenges all summer long. Those registered for the reading program are eligible to win prizes such as coupons from local businesses, free books, and more.

The library is located at 403 Lewis Street in Canton, MO. It is open 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday, and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays.
