WILLIAM ‘TY’ BUCKNER

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Tyrone “Ty” Buckner, 48, of Lewistown, Mo. Ty passed away on May 5, 2026 after a long illness.
Ty was born in Quincy, IL , attended Quincy Schools, and graduated from Liberty High School. He served in the military following graduation.
Ty was an avid hunter and fisherman, owning many trophy deer mounts and took part in several Big Cat Tournaments. He also enjoyed participating in contests with his horse. He, along with his father, raised show rabbits winning numerous awards over the years.
Ty was predeceased by his father, William E. Buckner Jr, his grandparents William and Edna Buckner and Howard and Marie Smelser, and four uncles.
He is survived by: his mother Marsha Buckner; his brother Troy Stuke; his sister Trina Karl (Dale). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials can be made to donors’ choice.
