Irish Road Bowling
April 09, 2026
The 14th annual Irish Road Bowling event was held on March 21 at St. Patrick. Members of the winning team, Del Fuegos, were Darren Marshall, Tanner Marshall, Ryne Borchelt and Skyler Bronestine. Irish road bowling (or “bullets”) is a traditional Irish sport where players use an underhand, windmill-style throw to propel a 28-ounce iron ball (bowl) along a one and half to two mile country road course. The goal is to reach the finish line with the fewest throws. It is a game of accuracy and power often played in teams. Also pictured are bowlers at the starting point. Many teams choose to wear colorful, unique costumes which add to the fun happening during the event.
