DONALD SHERWOOD

Donald P. Sherwood, Sr., 84 of LaGrange, Missouri died March 7, 2026 at 6:21 a.m. at the Country Aire Retirement Center at Lewistown, Missouri.
The son of Finley and Mable Hutchesson Sherwood was born on June 27, 1941 in Canton, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Sharon Gosney on January 8, 1989 at the Hester Community Church in rural Maywood, Missouri.
Don was Pastor of New Hope Church in Canton, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting and gardening and was an avid bowler. He was also a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Sherwood of LaGrange, Mo.; his children, Donald Paul (Diane) Sherwood, Jr. of Bowling Green, Mo., Renee (Bret) Stewart of Liberty, Ill., Triena Gosney of LaGrange, Mo., Bryan Sherwood (Amy Bringer) of Lewistown, Mo., LeRoy (Betsy) Sherwood of Springfield, Ill., and Scott (LeAndra) Bridgeman of New London, Mo.; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren; a niece that he raised, Sharon Wilkerson of Auxvasse, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, F. Daryl Sherwood, grandson, Brandon Knight, a sister, Shirley Maxine Owen, three brothers, Jack, Joe and Jerry Sherwood.
Funeral services: Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. in Canton, Missouri. Rev. Bryan Gosney officiating. 
Pallbearers: Bryan Sherwood, Scott Bridgeman, Bret Stewart, Cody Sherwood, Evan Knight and Austin Knight.
Burial: Durham Cemetery, Durham, Missouri.
