Donna R. Godman, 90, of Durham, MO, died January 20, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Hannibal, MO.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing, MO. Mr. Colin Keller will officiate. Burial will follow at Durham Cemetery in Durham, MO.
Friends and Family are invited to Donna’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing, MO.
Donna was born on September 21, 1935, in Quincy, IL, to William C. Standbridge and Helen M. Sanders Standbridge. She was married to Charles Leon Godman on May 17, 1952, in LaGrange, MO. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2007.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Rose) Godman of LaGrange, MO, Patty (Mike) Keller of Hannibal, MO, Brad (Sue) Godman of Canton, MO, James Russell Godman of Durham, MO, siblings, Carol Toomey of Maywood, MO, Sharon (John) Wallace of St. Louis, MO, Ed (Lois) Standbridge of GA, Jeannie Loscre of Ewing, MO, Rodger Standbridge of Lewistown, MO, Peggy Harscher of Maywood, MO, Pam (Randy) Novinger of LaGrange, MO, Michael (Rhonda) Standbridge of Lee Summit, MO, Ken (Gisele) Standbridge of Franklin, TN, grandchildren, Rachel (Brian) Hicks, Adrian (Erin) Keller, Theresa Keller, Colin Keller, Stephanie Mefford, David (Krista) Godman, Bruce Godman, Crystal Pratt, Michelle (Mario) Ochao, great grandchildren, Zoe, Mya, Allie, Tyler, Blake, Kennady, Emma, Allie, Lilly and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Stella Mae Cummings, Bill Standbridge, Bob Standbridge, Elaine Standbridge, granddaughters, Sabrina Godman and Donna Elizabeth Godman.
Donna was a dedicated worker throughout her life. She worked as a cook at the Ewing Nutrition Center, where she took pride in preparing meals and caring for others through her work. Earlier in her life, she was employed at the shoe factory.
Donna lived a life marked by quiet strength, gentle friendliness, and a personality that left a lasting impression on those who knew her. Though soft-spoken, she had a strong sense of self and a warm presence that made others feel comfortable and welcome.
She had a fondness for collecting small treasures, including knickknacks, magnets, and shot glasses, each one holding a memory from her many travels. Donna loved exploring the country and proudly visited 49 states, with Yellowstone holding a special place in her heart—where she even rode a snowmobile, embracing adventure in her own way.
In her free time, Donna enjoyed bowling and golfing, as well as relaxing with a glass of iced tea. She was known for making beloved dishes such as pea salad and five-cup salad, which family and friends came to appreciate. Simple joys brought her happiness, including coloring books, word searches, and watching game shows. She also enjoyed catching a bit of basketball and cheering on competitors on American Ninja Warrior.
Donna will be remembered for her quiet kindness, strong spirit, and the many memories she created through her travels, hobbies, and everyday moments. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
