Community Christmas Dinner Donation
January 15, 2026
The Lewistown Community Christmas dinner was held on Christmas day at the Lewistown Fire House in Lewistown. The dinner is provided by community businesses and individuals to provide a place for people to have a friendly meal on Christmas. The entire event is prepared and served by volunteers. This year they served over 190 meals, which included delivered meals and take out. Those eating a meal could choose to leave a free will donation and a total of $1,932 was collected. A check for the Ewing Nutrition Center, which provides meals for senior citizens and home delivery for residents, was presented by volunteer Ellen Crandall to Heartland Resources representatives, Mark Lukenhoff and Cindy Norcross.
This was the twelfth year for the dinner, with the main organizers Greg and Denise Frericks. All the volunteers, donations, use of the firehouse and any contributions are always much appreciated.
