Highland Basketball Tournament

The 54th annual Highland Basketball tournament began on Jan. 5. The Highland Lady Cougars won their first-round game against Palmyra 55-29. The boy’s basketball game featured the Highland Cougars against the Kirksville Tigers, with Kirksville winning 45-35. Teams participating in the weeklong tournament include, Highland, Palmyra, Clark County, QND JV, Keokuk and Kirksville. Games were scheduled for Monday through Wednesday, weather day scheduled for Thursday, and remainder of games on Jan.9  with championship games Jan. 10.
