Marching In Memphis

The Highland Marching Cougars traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, to participate in events surrounding the Liberty Bowl football game.
They marched in the 2025 AutoZone Liberty Bowl parade on Beale Street in downtown Memphis on Jan. 1. The Highland Band received second place in the Beale Street Battle of the Bands.
The Liberty Bowl was played on Jan. 2, at the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, where the group, along with other bands, performed at the half time show that featured county music artist Matt Stell. The football game featured Navy Midshipmen facing the Cincinnati Bearcats with the Navy winning 35-13.
The Highland Band had originally planned a trip to Chicago which had to be cancelled and the new Memphis trip was planned.
