Virginia Ann Berhorst, 61, of Canton, MO, died December 9, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
Funeral Services: 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic
Church in St. Patrick, Mo., Father Rob Fields presiding, with visitation of Life Celebration preceding services from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Burial: St. Patrick Cemetery in St. Patrick, Mo.
Virginia was born on May 23, 1964, in Quincy, IL, to Theodore Henry Berhorst and Donna Virginia Berhorst
Survivors include her brothers, Robert Berhorst of Canton, Mo., William (Maria) Berhorst of Canton, Mo., Theodore Allen Berhorst of Canton, Mo., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.
Virginia was a hardworking and spirited woman. She devoted 30 years to her business Ledger Express. She was also a notary and tax preparer, earning three associate degrees in Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Computer Sciences. Raised on the family farm, Virginia grew up
with a strong sense of responsibility and later managed the farm for many years as well.
She loved hunting deer, squirrel, rabbit, and turkey and fishing for catfish. She enjoyed swimming at home and relaxing in her hot tub. Horses, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and her 3- and 4-wheelers brought her joy, as did camping and canoeing in Lebanon and Salem. 
She enjoyed action movies, Yellowstone, and attending country music shows in Branson, Missouri. She was
known as “Blondie”. She had a soft spot for Siamese cats and loved country line dancing and listening to her favorite country tunes.
Virginia will be remembered for her strength, her independence, and the full, vibrant life she lived. Her legacy is one of hard work, adventure, and the love she shared.
Virginia was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick.

Shannon. Honorary pallbearers: John Davis, Gene Prock, Greg Collier, Jim Sparks, Wesley Pearl
and Doug Woodworth.
