Beyond her career, Norma’s zest for life was evident in her numerous passions and interests. She had a heart for the adventures of traveling with Texas, Nashville, and Las Vegas being a few of her favorites. Yet, it was Norma’s dedication to family and friends that truly defined her. She possessed a rare blend of warmth and strength, offering unconditional care while also never hesitating to provide candid wisdom that could lovingly “put you in your place.”
Norma found serenity in gardening, planting tomatoes and Salsify. She enjoyed knitting and collecting Angel keepsakes.
Norma cherished her role as a doting grandmother, her house echoing with laughter and storytelling with grandkids on the weekends. Simple joys like saving quarters in her jar for games of 31 with the kids were treasures in her book of life.
Kenny was the love of her life and constant companion. They went everywhere together and shared a love for cooking, especially Ham, Chicken and Oyster Dressing.
The great outdoors called Norma, and loved camping under the stars, casting a line into the lake, and boating. Memories created at Truman Lake, Newark, Deer Ridge and especially Lake of the Ozarks will live on in her families’ stories for generations.
She read mystery books, providing a thrilling escape and her Bible offering comfort and guidance. The melodies of Old Country and Gospel music often filled her home, and she attended Blue Grass festivals.
Norma leaves behind a legacy of love, life fully embraced, and memories. As she now rests, those who loved her find comfort in knowing that Norma has surely found her place among the angels she so fondly adored.
