Celebrate Juneteenth 2025

Juneteenth celebration events in Canton will include a variety of entertainment. On June 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Canton Library, storyteller W.T. Johnson will be telling a story of The Grandmother of Opal Lee. Red beverage and treats will be offered.
Martin Park in Canton will have activities from noon to five p.m. At noon, Juneteenth Princess, ballon release, fellowship and photos. Music will begin at 12:30 p.m and continue throughout the day. Food and beverages will be available beginning at 1 p.m.
Free bus tours from 1 to 3 p.m. will vist all African American schools sites and the Second Baptist Church. Juneteenth poetry read, followed by a schoolhouse reenactment in the Lincoln school by the local youth from the community from 3 to 5 p.m.
For adults only from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Smokers Pit Stop, the celebration continues with karaoke.
Everyone is invited to attend any or all of the events.
