Larry Joe Williams, age 62 of LaGrange, Mo., ended his motorcycle ride Sunday, June 1, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill. Larry was born February 28, 1963, in Pittsfield Ill., to the late Glen ‘Flo’ Williams and Shirley ‘Jess’ Beaver.
Larry had a passion for motorcycle rides and poker runs. His loud scratchy voice and laughter will be forever remembered. Larry was known for his honest, fun loving, and helpful nature.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah and three stepsons of the home Josh, Ashtyn and Nolan ‘George’; his daughter, Lacy (Jason) Rennecker of Mt. Sterling Ill.; honorary daughter, Lilly Morton of Jacksonville Ill.; two sisters, Teresa Dowell of Monroe City Mo., and his twin sister Lori (Charles) Rudd of Canton Mo; stepsister, Roseann (Chris) Hamilton of Barry Ill.; in-laws Kenneth and Susan Oswald; sister-in law, Kelsey Oswald of Versailles Ill.; brother-in law, Lynn Erke of Barry Ill.; honorary brothers, Jim (Alison) Whitmer of Durham Mo., and Wayne Scranton of El Dara, Ill.; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a tribe of nieces and nephews that he lived vicariously through. Larry also had many long-time friends that were more like family to him as well.
Larry was preceded in death by two sisters, Debby Erke and Pam Bowen; two brothers-in-law, Ronnie Bowen and Bill Dowell; his granddaughter, Zoey Reedy; nephew, Lance Bowen; and good friend, Cecily Scranton.
Honorary pallbearers are his nephews: Steven, Denton, Caleb, Billy Glen, Josh, Dwight, Ricky, Matthew and Dalton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the YMCA Park in Barry, Ill.,, on June 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry. Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry is caring for the family.
