Student Chapter Earns Gold Award of Excellence
June 04, 2025

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Student Chapter at Culver-Stockton College (C-SC) recently received the IMA Gold Award of Excellence, a prestigious honor granted to the student chapters that meet the IMA requirements.
According to the IMA website, the student chapter program emphasizes the promotion of management accounting/financial management as a profession and a career while encouraging the student-run chapters to be creative in providing services to their members. Each year, student chapters vie for the IMA Student Chapter Award of Excellence, which recognizes chapters for achieving distinction in their promotion of IMA’s mission and vision and providing a broader range of activities and services to their members.
The C-SC IMA Student Chapter exceeded the requirements to receive the Gold Award of Excellence certificate and the $500 monetary prize.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work, professionalism, and drive of our business, finance and accounting students,” said C-SC Professor of Accounting Dr. Dell Ann Janney, who is also the faculty advisor for the IMA Student Chapter. “They’ve demonstrated a strong commitment to both academic success and real-world learning experiences that will serve them well in their future careers.”
