HAROLD DICKERSON

Harold H. Dickerson, 97, of Centralia, Mo., died April 7, 2016, at Lenoir Woods in Columbia, Mo.

He was born Oct. 17, 1918, the son of the late Omer and Nanny (Carter) Dickerson. On June 2, 1945, he was united in marriage to Anna Pauline (Young). She preceded him in death in July 2008.

Harold was a Southern Baptist Minister for several churches in Missouri, including the LaGrange First Baptist Church in the 1970s. He also worked as an electrician and was a bus driver for many years. He was a member of the Centralia First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and being outdoors.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, H. Mark Dickerson and his wife Cheryl of Perry, Ill., and Brian Dickerson and his wife Becky of Henley, Mo.; one daughter, Ann Dickerson of Pinehurst, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Betty Dickerson of St. Peters, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Paul Dickerson, Timothy Dickerson, Michaelle Adams, Jaron Knaggs, Chase Dickerson, Lexi Dickerson and Addie Dickerson; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, one son Omer Paul Dickerson, two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.

Memorial services were held April 13, 2016, at the Centralia First Baptist Church in Centralia, Mo.

Inurnment was in the Centralia City Cemetery.
