LaGrange Library Summer Program
July 31, 2024
One of the many fun activities at the LaGrange Library was Larry from Cahokia Mounds. He showed the group how to make cordage. Larry showed the group how to make a strong rope like the early Indians used to make slippers, nets, etc. Larry also explained to the group that the cordage can be used in many different ways and is considered a life saving skill in the outdoors. The group also were able to throw spears and learned about pottery. Pictured is Larry and LaGrange Librarian Karla Bradshaw along with a group of children that attended the program. Mrs. Bradshaw encourages all ages to visit the library. Everyone is welcome.
