DOLORES JEAN WIESEMANN

Dolores Jean Wiesemann, 85, of La Grange, Mo., died May 20, 2024 in Blessing Hospital at Quincy, Ill.

She was born February 16, 1939 in Quincy, Ill., a daughter of Claude Calvin and Okle Viola Rudsell Anderson. She married Paul DeWayne Wiesemann on July 4, 1958 in LaGrange, Mo.  He passed away December 25, 2021.

Dolores was baptized and confirmed into St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in LaGrange where she remained a member.  She had worked for Dr. Ronald Peake in Quincy, Woolworth’s in Quincy and Farmers and Merchants Bank in LaGrange. She liked to work in her yard tending to her flowers. She and Paul enjoyed travelling and had gone to Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon and had traveled to Canada in the mid 70’s.  She had also been on a couple sister trips.

Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Kent (Joetta) Wiesemann of Wapella, Ill., and Bradley Scott (Lesa) Wiesemann of Quincy, Ill.; four grandchildren, Dustin J. (Yvette) Wiesemann of Canton, Janelle Wiesemann of Quincy, Ill., Kaylee (Nathan) Klein of Chicago, Ill., and Dylan (Arlene) Wiesemann of Quincy; two great grandchildren, Olivia Wiesemann and Hunter Wiesemann both of Canton; one sister, Dorothy Heimer of Republic, Mo., sister in law, Peggy Wiesemann of La Grange, brother in law, Jimmie Wolfmeyer of Hannibal, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Steven Wiesemann; one sister, Barbara Wolfmeyer, one brother, Calvin Anderson, and brother in law, Harold Wiesemann.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Heart Association.

Private family graveside services will be held in Memorial Cemetery, LaGrange, Mo. Honorary Pallbearers:  Dolores’ Grandchildren.
