Barge Launch

Canton Marine Towing recently launched a new boat at the Canton riverfront. The barge was built in the Canton Marine shop, a project that took two years to complete, and will eventually become a tow boat. The water was high enough to put the vessel in the Mississippi river last week. There is a lot of planning and work to make sure the transfer of the boat from the shop to the river is always an exciting time. Several onlookers, workers, and family were able see the barge traveling down the road and watching and feeling the anticipation the boat going in the water.
