Culver-Stockton College To Celebrate The Inauguration Of Its 28th President
Culver-Stockton College is honored to announce the inauguration of its 28th president, Dr. Lauren B. Schellenberger on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10 am, within the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the College’s campus. This historic event marks a significant milestone in the College’s history and celebrates the beginning of a new era of leadership and innovation. Community members are welcome to attend the inauguration ceremony.
Faculty, staff, students, alumni, trustees, Canton community leaders, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) leadership, and distinguished regional guests will come together on this day to formally welcome and install President Schellenberger. The ceremony will feature speeches, and performances by the C-SC choir and band, and will highlight the College’s values, traditions, and vision for the future.
“ As chairman of the board of trustees, it is my honor to welcome and install Dr. Schellenberger as the 28th president of Culver-Stockton College, stated H.B. Turner ’79. “For the past 16 years, we have witnessed the impact she has made not only on our students of promise, but also on our campus, faculty, staff, and globally through her numerous travel study courses to Belize and Guatemala. Under her leadership and guidance, I know she will have a major impact on this historic institution of higher education and the Tri-State region and its communities.”
Dr. Schellenberger brings with her a wealth of experience, leadership, and dedication to higher education. With a deep commitment to the College’s students of promise, academic excellence, student success, and community engagement, President Schellenberger is positioned to lead Culver-Stockton College into a new era of growth and achievement.
Culver-Stockton College is situated on 140 acres in Canton, Missouri, atop “the Hill” overlooking the Mississippi River. The liberal arts college was founded in 1853 by members of the Disciples of Christ Church. Today, more than 1,000 students from around the world shape their futures in academic excellence with opportunities in 80 majors and minors, four graduate programs, 21 NAIA inter-collegiate athletics, 35 diverse student organizations, and many campus-life events.
