MARTY SPARROW

Marty Sparrow, 61 of Canton, Missouri died March 24, 2024 surrounded by her family at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri.

The daughter of Earl F. and Delores M. Thielen Lockett was born on September 27, 1962 at Quincy, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Michael G. Sparrow, Sr. on September 20, 1980 at the LaGrange Christian Church in LaGrange, Missouri.

Marty was a 1980 graduate of Highland High School. She was a member of the Canton Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie#1800 Auxiliary and loved being involved in the community and helping people. She liked to cook meals for the holidays, work around the house, go riding around in the ranger and sit on the back porch to watch the sunrise. Her grandchildren were her shining stars and she loved attending their activities and events.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Sparrow, Sr. of Canton, Mo.; four children, Michael (Kim) Sparrow, Jr. of Canton, Mo., Jeremy (Randi) Sparrow of Canton, Mo., Kayla (Brian) Clark of Kahoka, Mo. and Alissa Sparrow of Canton, Mo.; ten grandchildren, Riley Sparrow, Zach Sparrow, Blake Sparrow, Madison Sparrow, Brooklyn Sparrow, Cody Sparrow, Savannah Sparrow, Braedyn Clark, Kinley Clark and Bailey Clark; mother-in-law, Kathryn Sparrow; a sister, Melissa (Tom) Peters of Bastop, La.; a brother, Tom (Carol) Lockett of Palmyra, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Ronald Sparrow.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri with Rev. Brian Stone officiating. Visitation will be held April 3, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton. Honorary Grandson Pallbearers: Riley Sparrow, Zach Sparrow, Blake Sparrow, Cody Sparrow and Braedyn Clark.
