St. Patrick Features Musical Performers

March 08, 2024

The Shrine of St. Patrick has scheduled two musical performers for their St. Patrick’s Day celebration to be held on Sunday, March 17 that will surely be a crowd pleaser for all who attend the celebration!

Andrew Fodor,  of Quincy, Il., will be on hand to play amazing Bagpipe music!   Andrew’s interest in playing Bagpipes began over six years ago when he would attend the weekly concerts in the Park.  His favorite concert was a Bagpipe band that performed yearly.  So when he decided to learn to play a musical instrument it had to be the Bagpipes of course!  Andrew will be performing throughout the celebration in the Shrine of St. Patrick, which will enhance the beautiful sound of Bagpipes.

Mike Anderson, The Dulcimer Guy, is one of the most versatile folk entertainers in the Midwest.  He is a musician, mountain dulcimer player and storyteller.  The combination of music, storytelling, and humor has made Mike one of the most sought-after speakers and performers in the country.  Mike has conducted many workshops for developing literacy through the art of storytelling.  His Early Childhood shows are legendary!  While the Mountain Dulcimer is his main stock and trade, he also plays the Guitar, Banjo, Jaw Harp and Nose Flute.  Mike has been an elementary educator for 39 years and has been praised as a “superb communicator, master teacher and an exceptional leader in any setting”. Mike will be performing from 10:00am - 2:00pm at the Shrine of St. Patrick celebration.

Please join us for a wonderful day of great food, music and fellowship.
