Tax Assistance At Library By Appointment

Canton Public Library, located at 403 Lewis Street in Canton, Missouri, will serve as a VITA Tax Assistance site. Appointments are required. The IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free basic tax return preparation to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including people who generally make $64,000 or less, elderly persons, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers.

Certified volunteers will be available Saturday, March 9 from 2:00-5:00 and Saturday, March 23 from 2:00-5:00 BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Call 573-288-5279 for an appointment.
