Celebrating 50 Years of Marriage

Norris and Arlene (McCollum) Hinton of Monticello celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on January 12th, 2024. Norris and Arlene, descendants of Evert and Merry C (Williams) Hinton, and Richard “Mac” and Evelyn (Smith) McCollum were united in marriage in 1974 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Hannibal, Missouri on a blustery storm with temperatures reaching well below zero. Dear friends Mike Raleigh and the late Rhonda Finney stood by their side as they said “I Do”.
Their family includes three sons: Arlen Hinton and Meridith Reed of Ewing, Nathan and wife Tricia of Monticello, and Jesse and wife Kara of Ashland, Missouri. They enjoy 10 grandchildren including bonus grandchildren: Ali, Bri, Dylan, Gavin, Chloe, Lane, Cooper, Harper, Addison, and Lilah.
Norris still enjoys farming the family farm that he and Arlene have grown over the past 50 years. Arlene is retired from the Lewis Co Juvenile Office and enjoys traveling and time with family and friends.
Norris and Arlene’s family hope that you will join us for a reception to celebrate the life they have built together on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at The West Room in Monticello, Mo.
