WOODIE JOERINE SELLERS

Woodie Joerine Sellers passed away unexpectedly during surgery on Monday, January 8, 2024 in Austin, Texas. She was born on August 11, 1938 in Pasadena, Texas to Geraldine and Joseph Sivil.
Joerine accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior after meeting William H. Sellers in El Paso, Texas in 1955. A story that she loved to share time after time, of their love and how important it was to Daddy that she accept Christ before they married and shared their life together. What an amazing life they had, 66 years of marriage, working side by side with Daddy’s business as a State Farm agent, Mom as his secretary. They shared a love for travel and enjoyed numerous trips together as well as with family. We teased her that her middle name was “Go!”, she was always packed and ready for our next adventure. She was the most loving Momma to her daughters, Mimmy/Mim to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Every conversation with Jo included her love for the Lord, her relationship with Him and did you know Him, whether you were a stranger or a friend. She was a member at The Worship Place in Georgetown.
Joerine is survived her daughters, Sheri and David Brooks of Taylor and Gayla and Lynn Bonnet of Florence. Grandchildren include Josh and Arin Schernik of Harlingen, Katie and Brandon Eubank of Bellville, Veronica Bonnet of Hutto, Lyle Bonnet of Lampasas, and Stephanie Bonnet of Cedar Park. Great grandchildren include Eva, Leah, and Nolan Schernik, Michael and Conor Eubank, Jordan and Joey Swafford and Gregory Scheierman. Joerine is also survived by her brother, H.T. and Joyce Rea of Katy and brother-in-law, Robert and Jan Sellers of Lewistown Missouri, numerous extended family members and wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Meadows and Joseph Sivil, her husband, Bill and grandson, Caleb Brooks.
Visitation will be at Ramsey Funeral Home on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to First Baptist Church of Lewistown Missouri for Children & Youth Ministry, 300 South Elm Street, Lewistown Missouri 63452, in Memory of Woodie Joerine Sellers.
