HERBERT GARNER

Herbert “Herbie” Wayne Garner, died December 27, 2023, in Mineral Wells, Tx.
Herbie, (Uncle Wayne), lived in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, Muskogee Oklahoma, Denver Colorado, and then finally settled back where he grew up in Maywood, Mo.
Herbie served in the US Navy and held many different jobs during his lifetime. Herbie was proficient in long haul trucking, rock trucks, and a heavy equipment operator. He also worked in maintenance at Trinity River Authority in Grand Prairie, Tx., and worked in security at Mark Twain Casino in LaGrange, Mo.
Herbie never met a stranger, and loved sitting at the truck stop drinking coffee and visiting with everyone. He enjoyed his home in Maywood, Mo., visiting with his family and grandchildren, tinkering in his garage and selling things at the Colony Flea Market. Herbie was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband to his long time love Diane.
Herbie is survived by his two sons, William Garner (Jamie) and Teryl Marinaro (Kim), daughter Beverly Bybee (Joseph), several grandchildren and a great-grandchild, nieces and nephews, and his best pals Leo and Yeti.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, (James and Lucy), two sons (Matthew and Leslie), wife (Diana) and three brothers (Raymond, Gene and Howard Garner).
Funeral Services and Military Honors will be held at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Elmer Hagood officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be private
