CLARENCE WAYNE BARTZ  

Mr. Clarence Wayne Bartz, 67, of Maywood, Mo., died December 30, 2023 in the Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown, Mo.

He was born February 8, 1956 in Quincy, IL a son of Clarence Joseph and Dorothy Rae Whitaker Bartz. He married Sherry L. Boernson in Quincy on February 14, 1991. She survives.

Wayne enjoyed attending the VFW and the Moose Lodge and helped raise Foster Children for many years. He had worked in previous years at Gardner Denver and Titan Wheel both in Quincy. He was of the Christian Faith.

Survivors include his wife Sherry of Maywood; daughter, Sherry (Jason) Powell of Quincy, sons, Jordan Bartz of Maywood, Tommy (Kelly) Butler of Maywood; sisters, Lavon Mathes of Maywood, Sally Laws of Lewistown and Sandy (Kevin) Meany of Maywood; six granddaughters, Tegan Butler of Macon, Mo., Allie (Garin) Smith of La Belle, Kelsea (Justin) Snider of Taylor, Mo., Emily (Brad) Robertson of Lewistown, Mo., Breanne Powell of Quincy, Ill., and Abbey Powell of Quincy, Ill.; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Linda Routt and brother-in-law, Travis Mathes.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing. There will not be any funeral, but family and friends are invited to his gathering.

The family suggests memorials be made to Sherry Powell to assist with Wayne’s final expenses.
