Elmo F. Tuley, 97 of Lewistown, Missouri died March 26, 2016 at the Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown.

The son of Ernest and Crystal Hamilton Tuley was born on February 6, 1919 at Lewistown, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Vivian K. Meyer on February 21, 1948 at Hannibal, Missouri. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2009.

Elmo served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was engaged in farming and a member of the Ewing Saddle Club and Canton Fraternal of Eagles Club, Big Tree Aerie 1800.

He is survived by his daughter, Marcha Wiskirchen and husband Charles of Warrensburg, Mo.; son, Michael Don Tuley and wife Marcia of Lewistown, Mo.; two granddaughters, Angela Stoecklein and husband Jeff and Amy Madrid; three great-grandchildren, Collin Stoecklein, Kylie Madrid and Jordyn Madrid; brother, Ernest Dewey Tuley and wife Martha of Quincy, Ill.; two brothers-in-law, Donald K. Meyer of East Peoria, Ill.; and Wendell Meyer of Plain City, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Wheeler.

Funeral services was held March 29, 2016 at 2at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri. Rev. Tim Smith officiated. Visitation was held Monday evening from and Tuesday after until the time of services at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown. Pallbearers: Willie Gaus, Willie O’Brien, Vernon O’Brien, Mark Shuman, Jon Schmidt and Gary McCaskill. Honorary Pallbearers: Steve Lynn, Eldon Gaus, William “Butch” O’Brien, Gilmer Johnston and Richard Maples.

Burial with graveside military honors by Lewis County Memorial Post 578 was in the Lewistown Cemetery.
