Casey Bell Memorial Coon Hunt

The third annual Casey Bell Memorial Coon Hunt to benefit Relay For Life was held Saturday, November 25, 2023 in LaBelle, Mo at Doug and Renny Lay’s home, there were 68 hunters and 71 dogs, with 168 raccoons harvested. The winners of the auctions were 10-22 Ruger, Karsen Lay, Gun scope, Bailey Ledbetter, Range Finder, Robbie Walters, Coon Light and Tanned Skunk hide, Dusty Yates, Gun Scope and Tanned Bobcat hide, Bryson Ledbetter, Binoculars, Logan Webster, and Bark Collar, Glen Decker. Raffle tickets we sold for a cornhole game made in memory of Casey Bell, that was won by Alvin Eicher, who gave it to one of her daughters, Corbin Bell, who was overwhelmed with happiness.
The winners of the coon hunt were: First place Hunter Bragg, of St Clair, Mo, winning a 22 gun donated by Perry Eicher, Second Place Bailey Skirvin, of Lewistown, Mo, winning $300 and two 50 lbs. bags of dog food, donated by MFA LaBelle and Doug Lay, Third place Konnor Bridgeman, of Nelsonville, Mo winning $200 and 50 lbs. of dog food donated by David & Dustin Drebenstedt, fourth place Perry Eicher of Knox City, Mo winning $100 cash and 50 lbs. of dog food donated by Fleer Feed, and fifth place Carissa Poulter of Canton, Mo. winning a .22 gun donated by Doug Lay.
Over $2000 was raised to benefit the Relay For Life of Lewis County, and still have enough for cash prizes for next year.
Next year’s event will be held November 30, 2024.
