Highland Honors Veterans

Highland Student Council hosted Veterans Day breakfast and program on November 10. A breakfast of pancakes and sausage were served for a donation to all those who wanted to come from 7am-9am. At 9am we held a program where the American Legion Post 578 presented the colors. Highland Band and Show Choir both performed.  Technical Sergeant Mr. Isaac Fifer was the guest speaker. He is currently a special warfare recruiter and a Highland graduate in the class of 2008. Emma Harshberger led the assembly with students presenting prayers, white table ceremony and Cooper Bliven playing Taps. Mrs. Hinton presented the Honor Flight a check for $500 from the students at Highland. Veterans and current servicemen also had remarks.
