MICKEY TOM LUMLEY

Mickey Tom Lumley, age 78, of LaBelle, Mo., passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Mo.
He was born July 12, 1945, in Quincy, Ill., the son of Everett Augustine “Fritz” and Thelma Roberta “Betty” Foust Lumley.
Mickey Tom lived in LaBelle his entire life where he graduated from LaBelle High School in 1963. He served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He owned and operated Lumley Feed Store and Tom’s Car Wash in LaBelle, Mo. He was known for his artistic ability and tremendous knowledge of firearms and weaponry of all kinds.
He will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor, funny stories and jokes. He heard the beat of a different drummer. Heaven will be entertained.
Surviving are one sister Ellen Sue Sayre and Harvey of Clinton, Mo., and cousins Larry Lumley and Emma of Newark, Mo., and Connie Helenthal.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Diana Kay Lumley.
Funeral services were held November 4, 2023, in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Mo.
Visitation was held prior to services. Officiating was Pastor Mike Wilson.
Musical selections: In The Garden and When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder. Casket bearers: Alan Glover, Ben Glover, Matt Glover, Zachary Sharpe, Scott Hoffman, Ray Sharpe. Honorary bearers: George Fifer, Larry Lumley, Mildred Sharpe and Gary Grubb.
