CHARLES “RAY” TATE

Charles R. “Ray” Tate, 62 of St. Paul, Minnesota October 19, 2023 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

The son of Gilbert Simon and Kathryn (Tate) Hodges was born on December 13, 1960 at Quincy, Illinois.

He was united in marriage to Pearlie McClenton at St. Paul, Minnesota. Ray was a very good person who enjoyed fishing and listening to rap music.

He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Hodges of Canton, Mo.; wife, Pearlie Tate of St. Paul, Mn.; a daughter, Randall Tate of Ohio; two grandchildren; three sisters, Kattisha Hodges of Canton, Mo., Dana Simon of Burlington, Ia. and Gayle Simon of Burlington, Ia.; two brothers, Gerald Lloyd of LaBelle, Mo. and Gilbert Simon of Burlington, Ia.; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, Larken Hodges, and his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri with Rev. James Salter officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton. Honorary Pallbearers: Mike Thomas, Gerald Lloyd, Dermane Lloyd, DeWan Lloyd, Melva Jean Clay and Beverly Tate.

Inurnment will be in LaBelle Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
