Joe Leah Muse, 86, of Sedgewickville, Missouri died October 14, 2023 at his home.

He was born February 12, 1937 in Craighead County, AR to Leroy and Sophia Weston (Doty) Muse.

He and Peggy A. (Koehler) Muse were married on January 24, 1955. She survives.

He was an Electrical Engineer. Joe was an avid fisherman who would dip a line in any stream he could find. He enjoyed going to Salt River in North East Missouri. Fishing for Catfish was his favorite. Joe loved to play Pitch with the family anywhere they went. When Joe and Peggy noticed their ever-growing family after their 60th wedding reunion, they organized their first Muse family reunion on the second week of June. Everyone would gather together at the family home on BCR to catch up and take photos with all the cousins. On June 2, 2023 Joe and Peggy stood together at the family home, looking out as all the family gathered and Joe said “Look at what we started”.

Survivors also include two sons, James Leroy (Rosemary) Muse of Sedgewickville, Mo., Cord Weston (Antonia) Muse of Wichita, Kan.; five daughters, Peggy Jo (Sammuel) Bollinger of Sedgewickville, Mo., Suzanne Lea Muse of Sedgewickville, Mo., Stacey H. (Douglas) Lewis of LaGrange, Mo., Michelle Heather Muse of Fort Worth area, Tex., Sophia Lillian (Richard) Crossen of Ottowa, Kan.; sister, Polly Ann Cleveland Robbins of Princeton, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Kelley Muse; thirty seven grandchildren; seventy four great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Joe Lee Muse, Jr., Timothy Steven Muse; two brothers, Charles Burt Muse, Lee Weston Muse; brother-in-law, Ronald Robbins.
