RALPH E. GATES  

Ralph Edward Gates, 66, of Canton, Mo., died October 8, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

He was born July 16, 1957 in Keokuk, Ia., a son of Glenn Roland and Wilma Ruth Kennedy Gates.

Ralph was a veteran on the U.S. Navy and worked in the Shipyards in California.  He had worked at U.S. Wellness and Coil Industries in Canton and had also driven a tractor trailer for a number of years.  Ralph was a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed riding and he also loved his dog “Sparky”. 

Survivors include one brother, two sisters, two nieces, one nephew, two great nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private burial services will be held at the Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, Ia.
