LLOYD GRIGGS

Lloyd Lester Griggs, 79 of LaGrange, Missouri died October 11, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The son of Lloyd R. and Alice Stoner Griggs was born on August 15, 1944 in Louisiana, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Dixie Bowen on April 27, 1963 in the Assembly of God Church at Louisiana, Missouri.

Lloyd worked at ADM (Quincy Soybean) for 40 years before retirement. He was a member and past president of the LaGrange Lions Club. He enjoyed trout fishing at Montauk State Park several times a year and camping with family.

He is survived by his wife Dixie Griggs of LaGrange, Mo.; three children, Mike (Cindy) Griggs of LaGrange, Mo., Diana (Ron) Neff of Canton, Mo., and Chrystal (Rick) Coats of LaGrange, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Zach Neff, Brandee Ihnen, Josh Griggs, Tabetha Kirkeeng, Spencer Coats, Cody Griggs and Scott Wakefield; three sisters, Ruby Burbridge, Alice Anderson and Alberta Griggs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Betty Jane Silvey and Thelma Smith and a brother, Toney Hampton.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are scheduled.

A Family Life Celebration will be held at a later date.
