NANCY DAVIS

Nancy Lee Davis, 82, of Durham, Missouri, died September 27, 2023 in Blessing Hospital.

Nancy was born on April 13, 1941 in Durham, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Mildred Jones Wagner. She married Donald “Don” Davis on February 21, 1959 in Taylor, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2016.

After raising her family, Nancy pursued her own education at Northeast Missouri State University where she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. She became a licensed CPA and had a 15+ year career at the Hannibal Clinic, until her retirement.
Nancy loved spending time with her grandchildren and caring for her yard. Until very recently, she was proud to still mow her entire five acre lot by herself. The Christmas season was Nancy’s favorite time of year because she loved the special time together with her family.

Survivors include three children, Rhonda King of Durham, Mo., Daniel (Kristy) Davis of Hannibal, Mo., and Steve (Jaynie) Davis of Lithia, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Judy Gallaher of Quincy, Ill.; two brothers, Leroy (Charlotte) Wagner of Ewing, Mo., and Clyde (Toby) Wagner of Tolona, Mo.

In addition to her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Vallen Minor, two sisters, Midge Waller and Dorothy VanOrder, two brothers, Kenny and Bill Durk, and a brother-in-law, Larry Gallaher.

Memorial Service was held September 30, 2023 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Disseler officiating.
