Ewing Class of 1963

On September 13, 2023, six members of the Ewing High School Class of 1963 gathered with their guests at the Atrium on Third in Quincy, IL.  They enjoyed visiting before, during and after the meal, with many remembrances shared.   As a special treat, Walt Davis served Angel Food cupcakes from Underbrink’s Bakery in Quincy.  Atop each cupcake was “EHS Class of ‘63.”  Dan Schmitz and Walt Davis were in charge of the reunion.  Tentative plans are to meet in two years to celebrate the classmates’ 80th Birthdays. Class members attending the Ewing High School 60th Class Reunion were as follows:  Leroy Wagner, Dan Schmitz, Walt Davis, Larry Lake, Karen Spratt Jones and Steve Ginther.  Guests were as follows:  Charlotte Wagner, Linda Schmitz, Linda Davis, Karen Lake, John Jones, Kay Ginther and Verlyn Luker.  Mr. Luker taught Health, P.E. and American History as well as coached at Ewing High School.  In addition, he served as a sponsor of another group, the Class of 1961.
