GLADYS WYATT

Gladys Mildred Wyatt, 92 of Waynesville, Mo., died July 31, 2023 in her home. She was born Nov. 18, 1930 to Russell Owen and Mildred Pauline (Ludwig) Farr. She grew up in rural LaGrange, Mo., and graduated in 1947 from LaGrange High School.

She was married to Connie Six, Charles Goodrich and Gerald Wyatt who all preceded her in death. She worked as a dental assistant and therapist for over 30 years at Fort Leonard Wood and after retirement she worked a dental surgery assistant for several years. She also was bookkeeper and jack of all trades in her husband’s business, Wyatt Excavating.

She had many interests and was a charter member of Harmony Baptist Church and later Faith Baptist Church where she served as organist. She was a member of the Ladies of Faith. She enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting and embroidery work. She enjoyed taking trips to visit family and loved to spend time with her family.

Mrs. Wyatt is survived by three children: Donna Hickey (Lee) of Waynesville, Mo, Larry Six (Pati) of Kathleen, Ga., and Janell York (Jim) of Waynesville, Mo.; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren: sister-in-law: Norma Farr of Quincy, Ill.; brother-in-law: Bob Goodrich of Crocker, Mo.; other relatives and friends including many from Lewis County Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter Sue Wyatt, two brothers, Russell and David Farr and sister-in-law Darlene Farr.

Funeral services were held Aug. 3, 2023 in the Faith Baptist Church of Waynesville, Mo.

Burial was in the Idumea Cemetery of Laquey, Mo. Arrangements under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
