Clarann H. Drebes, 91, of Quincy, Ill., died July 25, 2023 at Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, Mo.

Clarann was born February 1, 1932, in Kahoka, Mo., to Henry and Salome (Klingler) Dinger.

She was married to Lowell “Shorty” Drebes on October 11, 1952 at St. Paul Evangelical & Reformed Church in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2016.

Survivors include her three children, Marilyn Bergman (Kerry), Quincy, Ill., Charles “Chuck” Drebes (Ellen), Fowler, Ill., and Carolyn Feldkamp (Gary) LaGrange, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Kyle Bergman, Kim Sparrow (Michael) Canton, Mo., Jamie Mecklenburg (Zach) of Quincy, Ill., Travis Woods (Amanda) of Galena, Mo., Cherlyn Evans (Grant) of Bentonville, Ark., Casey Fountain (Ryan) of New London, Mo., and Cara Fessenden (Tim) of Hannibal, Mo.; 17 great-grandchildren, one sister, Lorene Frenzen, Iowa City, Ia.; two sisters-in-law, Roberta Drebes ,Quincy, Ill., and Marilyn Drebes, Quincy, Ill.; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Clarann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, brother, George Jacob Dinger; two sisters, Lenora Hunziker and Marie Kimmey; grandson, Adam Drebes; brothers-in-law, Glen Hunziker, Roland Kimmey, Glen Frenzen, Harvey Drebes, and Curtis Drebes; nephews, Delbert Hunziker and Johnny Kimmey; niece, Becky Hunziker Crane.

Clarann was a member of Ellington Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was also a Sunday School teacher at Salem Church and a member of the Salem Women’s Evening Guild.

Services were held July 29, 2023, at Ellington Memorial Presbyterian Church in Quincy. Pastor Ron Cox officiated. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy.
