RON SATTERWHITE

Ron Satterwhite of La Belle, Missouri was born in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Norman and Erma Satterwhite and passed away on June 21, 2023 in the Baptist Home in Ironton, Missouri at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 17 days.

Ron enjoyed playing his guitar, making balloon animals for kids, and sharing the message that salvation was free for all who would put their faith in Christ alone for their eternal salvation. Ron served as a pastor and staff member for Southern Baptist Churches for over 50 years.

He was a graduate of Florida Bible College in Hollywood, Florida and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He retired in December 2022 as the Director of Missions of the Mt Salem/Wyaconda Southern Baptist Association. He continued in ministry online through “On Purpose with Pastor Ron” on Facebook.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Lee Kingman and his parents. 

He is survived by his wife, Melody Pye Satterwhite, Son, Ronald Dean Satterwhite Jr and his wife,Teresa of Pretty Prarie, Kan., Daughter. Jennifer Woodson and her husband, Chad and Amber Lynn Satterwhite of the home. Brothers Norman Clifton Satterwhite and his wife Barbara, Donald Thomas Satterwhite and his wife Marie and David Michael Satterwhite and his wife Sandy. Grandchildren: Avery Lee Woodson, Kinsey Rae Woodson, Cooper James Woodson, Jolie Beth Satterwhite, Waylon James Satterwhite. Nephews, nieces and many friends and family. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Ewing, 21875 MO Hwy 6, Ewing, Missouri 63440.
