NOLAN GIBSON

Nolan Dexter Gibson, 67 of Lewistown, Missouri, died Sunday, May 28, 2023, at his residence in Lewistown, Missouri.

He was born January 25, 1956, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Noble Dean and Virginia Grace Huse Gibson.

He attended school at Bethel Elementary and graduated from North Shelby High School, Class of 1974.

Nolan worked out of Canton, Missouri for United Cities Gas Company and retired with 31 years of service.

He loved to farm, care for his cows, socialize at the Bethel Fest Hall, and visit with friends, but most of all he looked forward to spending time with his family.
Nolan is survived by his two children, Erica (Patrick) Parker of Clarence, Missouri, and Katelyn Gibson of Macon, Missouri; his soul mate, Sherri Lay of Lewistown, Missouri; a sister, Raena (Brent) Foreman of Anabel, Missouri; a brother, Whitney (Joan) Gibson of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren, Conner, Mia and Beau Parker; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean (1998) and Virginia Gibson (2019), a sister Deana Lynne Gibson (1955); and a brother, Nathan Dmitri Gibson (1960).

Visitation is Friday, June 2, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Following visitation, a graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery north of Bethel, Missouri.
