PATRICIA NELSON-HATFIELD

Patricia Louise Nelson-Hatfield passed away at her residence in Ewing, Mo., on Sunday March 5, 2023.

She was born in Quincy, Ill., on October 12, 1959 to Robert C. Nelson and Dorothy J. Goings Nelson.  She was a 1978 graduate of Highland High School.

She was engaged to Mr. Darrell Ecton at the time of her passing.  Although they did not have time to get married, he has cared for her since she had a stroke in 2003.

Before the stroke she was employed as a housekeeper and had earned her CDL through JWCC.  She played the piano for Mt Olivet Church. Her other hobbies included painting, writing poetry/songs, camping, horse back riding and spending time with her friends and family.

Besides her fiance, she is survived by three children, Courtney (Shawn) Inlow, Paul Dacon II and Gera Hatfield; six grandchildren, Darrion Nelson-Rowley, Wyatt (Nikki) Nelson-Rowley, Cullen (John) Harrison, Brandon Inlow, Madison Jones and Aya Sinclair; one great grandchild, Eric Nelson-Rowley; two sisters, Peggy (David) Menear and Jennifer (John) Rottmann; four nephews, Jeryn Batman, Austin Batman, Sean Rottmann and Tyler (Alex) Rottmann; and one cousin, Tommy Watkins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The cremation services were provided by Davis Funeral Home.  The family have chosen to have a private memorial service at a later date.
