Shrine of St. Patrick Celebration
The Shrine of St. Patrick will be hosting their annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Sunday, March 12.
The day begins with Sunday Mass at 9:00am, followed by the Historical Preservation Award ceremony. It is an event filled day with a presentation by Mike Whiston on the “Stories on the Building of the Shrine”, Leprechaun 5K Run/Walk, Silent Auction, Irish Music with the Roger Watson family, Daughters of Isabella Bake sale, and 50/50 Raffle. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the Irish Chain Quilt Raffle that will be concluded at the Quilt Show on the July 4th celebration.
The 2023 Special Pictorial Cancellation and Envelope will be available in the Shrine basement during the dinner and at the Old Irish Gift Shop. The design features the beautiful Harp of Erin on the envelope, Irish Blessing insert, and the Pictorial Cancellation.
The kids will have a wonderful time with everything that is planned for their entertainment. The Cake Walk will feature many specialty cakes donated by Carol Bakes STL owner, Carol Hinkebein. The Scavenger Hunt and Blarney Stone Hunt will have them looking for treasures all around the Shrine.
Everyone is invited to attend this very special day celebrating the namesake, St. Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland.
