JOHN KRIETEMEYER

John Emil Krietemeyer, 89, of Ewing, Mo., died January 1, 2023 at the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, Mo.

He was born October 29, 1933 in Taylor, Mo., a son of Carl Oscar and Fannie Grace Schaberg Krietemeyer. He married Ruth C. Schmitz Dolan on June 12, 1981 in Monticello, Mo. She passed away on April 3, 2004.

He loved farming, ranching and taking good care of his cattle and all of his animals. He was a very honest, kind and quiet man. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-56 and belonged to the VFW in Palmyra.
Survivors include a special friend and sister in law, Lucinda Moss of Ewing; step grandson, Tom Dolan of La Belle, Mo.; step grandaugher, Beth Voyles of Derby, KS; numerous nieces and nephews, Kathryn Sparrow, Martha Olson, Carol Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Ronald Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Richard Krietemeyer, Randy Krietemeyer, Sandra Heming, Daniel Griesbaum, William Griesbaum, Cynthia Kroeger, Susan Steffen, Jenny Carter and John Krietemeyer and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, step son Mike Dolan; sisters, Carlene (Ralph) Breeden, Mary (Aaron) Johnson, Helen (James) Bradney, Martha Archer, Irene (Albert) Griesbaum and Pauline (Don) Sutton, brothers Richard (Norma) Krietemeyer and Carl “Bob” (Vera) Krietemeyer, nephews, Donald Johnson, Gary Bradney, David Bradney, Robert Bradney and Carl Archer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Carpenter officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Ewing, Mo. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.  

Pallbearers: Randy Krietemeyer, Richard Krietemeyer, John Kevin Krietemeyer, Daniel Griesbaum, Tom Johnson and Ronald Johnson. Music: Go Rest High on that Mountain, Vince Gill and Green Green Grass of Home, Porter Wagner.
