MICHAEL L. LOWE  

Mr. Michael L. Lowe, 75, of LaGrange, Mo., died October 14, 2022. near Stoutsville, Mo.

Mike was born August 23, 1947 in Quincy, Ill., the son of Donald Lee Lowe and Betty Jane Fishback Lowe. He married Cheryl M. Foust on July 12, 1975. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2020.

Mike had been employed at Ayers Oil Company in Canton for over 40 years retiring in 2012. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in LaGrange. He served on the LaGrange City Council for over 20 years and served as Mayor of LaGrange for six years. He was also a member of the Fire Department for 20 years. Mike graduated from Canton High School in 1965. He was an Air Force Veteran and served during the Vietnam era from 1966 – 1970.

Survivors include two daughters, Heidi (Darrin) Kline of Quincy and Michelle (Charles) King of Canton; four grandchildren, Lissa King of LaGrange, Alec Kline of Quincy, Kaylie King of Canton and Reese Kline of Quincy; sisters, Marcia (Jerry Kent) Job of LaGrange, KY and Debby (Roger) Hetzler of Canton, numerous family and friends, and extended City family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step father Bob Meyer, wife Cheryl, daughter Melissa Jean Lowe and granddaughter Karlie Sue King.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange, Mo.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange, Mo., with Celebrant John Roach officiating. Music: I’ll Fly Away. Pallbearers: Members of the Fire Department. Honorary Pallbearers: His Grandchildren

Burial with military honors will be in Mark’s Cemetery, La Grange, Mo.
The family suggests memorials be made to Great River Honor Flight or City of La Grange Fire and Rescue.
