PATRICIA GEISENDORFER

Patricia M. Geisendorfer, 75 of Lewistown, Missouri and formerly of Quincy, Illinois, died September 2, 2022 at the Country Aire Retirement Center at Lewistown, with her husband by her side.

The daughter of Murray and Kathleen “Kay” Coleman Riness was born on December 21, 1946 in Bright, Ontario, Canada.

She was united in marriage to Irving (Carl) Geisendorfer on December 6, 1964 at New Sarum, Ontario, Canada. To this union five children were born, Kenneth Murray, Michael Dean, Lisa Dawn, Jason Paul and Anita Dawn. Later in 1983, completing their family when they adopted their 3rd daughter, Cynthia Kay.

Patricia worked alongside her husband and young family when they purchased the Lewistown Locker in 1978. They were also founders of Believers Broadcasting in 1981 (WTJR TV-16) in Quincy, Illinois. She hosted an inspirational music program “Somebody Cares” where she shared her heart and the love of God through song. In 2000 they founded the KJIR 91.7 Christian radio station in Hannibal, Missouri. Patricia’s love for her family will forever be her greatest legacy. The time spent with her children and grandchildren was always time well spent. Patricia loved the Lord and she and Carl did their best to raise their family up in church and in the ways of Christ. She was a gifted homemaker who loved cooking, baking, cleaning (yes, cleaning!), singing, reading, tending to her yard and flowers and would never turn down a good hot cup of Earl Grey tea!

She is survived by her husband Carl Geisendorfer of Lewistown, Mo.; her children, Kenneth (Beverly) Geisendorfer of Taylor, Mo., Michael Geisendorfer of Lewistown, Mo., Jason (Mary) Geisendorfer of Lewistown, Mo., Anita (Russell) Myers of Lewistown, Mo., and Cynthia Geisendorfer of Shoreline, Wa.; grandchildren, Jayme (Chris) Mallett, Phillip (Bailey) Geisendorfer, Mikey (Amber) Geisendorfer, Sarah (Herbie) Calicura, Hannah (Randy) Buchanan, Jacob Paul Geisendorfer, Mitchell (Sabrina) Owen, Nathan (Raegan) Myers, Andrew (Taylor) Myers, Sophia (Klayton) Hofferbert, Nicholas Myers, Michaela “Mia” Myers, Colin Satenay, Emma Satenay, and Tristan Satenay; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Joan Watters; two brothers, Kenneth and Carl Riness; and several beloved nieces and nephews all from Ontario, Canada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Lisa Dawn Geisendorfer, twin brother at birth, Murray James Riness, brother, Robert Riness and brother-in-law, Jack Watters, mother and father-in-law, I.K. & Virginia Geisendorfer, sister-in-law, Susan McGowan and brother-in-law, Charles Geisendorfer.

Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Lewistown Cemetery with Pastors Kenneth and Jason Geisendorfer officiating. Joint burial of Patricia with her infant daughter Lisa Dawn will be in the Lewistown Cemetery. If attending, please feel free to wear something of color or florals in memory of Patricia Murrie. Honorary Pallbearers: Phillip Geisendorfer, Mikey Geisendorfer, Jacob Geisendorfer, Mitchell Owen, Nathan Myers, Andrew Myers and Nicholas Myers.
