ZEBULON TASCO

August 17, 2022

Zebulon O’Neal Tasco, 2 years old of Canton, Mo., died August 12, 2022 at his home in Canton.

The son of Karissa L. Justice and step son of Chris McGruder was born on October 22, 2019 at Hannibal, Missouri. Zebulon was such a joy to be around. Full of life. He was a momma’s boy and even though he was a small guy he had a very kind heart.

He would talk to everyone. His favorite thing to say was “Hey how are you?” several times. Very polite for a 2 year old. Everyone had a nickname because he couldn’t quite say the full names. He would always reply “Not me” if you asked him, “Did you do that?”.

Zebulon was an admirer of his big brother, wherever he was, Zebulon wanted to be. Trucks were one of the things he would talk about. Every truck he saw was his aunt (TT’s) Yolanda McGruders truck. His favorite foods were popcorn and cookies. He had 2 dogs, Ace and Chewy that he played with who were the perfect size for him. He loved to be outside. He would often call his papa or be on the phone with his nana and she would have to take the phone to his papa just so he could say, “Hey Papa, How are you?”. He was a fan of Packman on YouTube.

He often attended Life Tabernacle Church with his aunt “Whit” Whitney Humphrey and he spent a lot of time with his aunt “Nan” Keanna Tasco and aunt (TT) Yolanda McGruder, whom he would call often.

He is survived by his mother, Karissa L. Justice and step father, Chris McGruder of Canton, Mo.; two brothers, Christopher L. McGruder and LaRue J. Tasco McGruder of the home and several step siblings; grandparents, Wanda (Wayne) Humphrey of LaGrange, Mo. and Sharon (Monzell) Riding of Hannibal, Mo.; great grandmother, Rosa L. Bradshaw of Kileen, Texas; uncle, Caleb Tasco and Alysa Morse of LaGrange, Mo.; aunts, Keanna Tasco and Yolanda McGruder, both of Canton, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James LaRue Brown and great grandfather, Paul O. Tasco.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Life Tabernacle Church in Canton, Missouri with Rev. Paul Kinney officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9 AM until the time of services at the Life Tabernacle Church in Canton. Pallbearers: Terrell Bradshaw, Caleb Tasco, Robert Tasco and Richie Humphrey.
